Nathan Allen

Nathan (@nathanallensax) is a contemporary jazz saxophonist from Toronto, ON. Nathan got into music at a young age as his father taught him how to read and perform music first on the piano, and then on the guitar. At the age of 11 that he was introduced to the saxophone. Nathan is an Antigua Winds endorsing artist, representing the brand when he plays his “Antigua Powerbell” soprano saxophone. Nathan's sound is influenced by other saxophonists such as Grover Washington Jr., Kirk Whalum, and Michael Lington. He has studied with Kelly Jefferson and Lorne Lofsky at York University in Toronto, Ontario. He has also received training from Eric Marienthal, Bob Reynolds, and Walter Beasley.
