A Tribute To Hip Hop Event

Tickets can be purchased –> HERE

James Dewitt Yancey (February 7, 1974 – February 10, 2006), better known by the stage names J Dilla and Jay Dee, was an American record producer who emerged from the mid-1990s underground hip hop scene in Detroit, Michigan.

Following J Dilla’s death, different hip hop communities across the world became centered upon his music and image. Many of the artists with whom Yancey worked performed or recorded tributes, and a large group of followers voiced their support for the late musician.

Join us as we GET LIVE, and pay tribute to the Late Great J-Dilla featuring LIVE performances from the Greater Hamilton community.  This show features music from J Dilla, A Tribe Called Quest, Common, D’Angelo, The Roots, Busta Rhymes Slum Village + many more!

Proceeds from this show are going toward the Creative Arts Pod at Eva Rothwell Center for youth living in poverty.
